About Us

The IAB was formed in 1973 by the Council of the Institute of Administrative Accountants (IAA) to retain links with its bookkeeping history dating back to 1916

As the way we do business evolves and becomes more fluid the we recognise that collaboration provides the opportunity to expand and evolve. Following the acquisition of LCCI qualifications in September 2023, the decision to bring together the IAB, IAAP, PDI and LCCI to form the IAB Group was taken forming a framework that provides accessible education at scale.

A distinguishing factor in the group is the presence of two organisations that offer regulated qualifications. The stringent development and review processes essential for delivering qualifications at this high standard are consistently implemented throughout all group organisations. This commitment to excellence ensures that all our qualifications meet a high standard, reflecting our dedication to quality in all aspects of our work.

Our aim is to bridge the gap between knowledge and learners, making education readily available to all through inclusive and flexible learning solutions spanning Academic, Vocational and Professional qualifications in the finance and business sector.
